I'm Moving.

The world outside is perfect.
The trees are green.
The sky is blue.
It is warm without being too hot.
My jacket remains stuffed at the bottom of my backpack.
Life is crazy.
Life is changing.
I don't know if there was ever a moment when I knew adulthood would hit.
But this is it.
I am.
I am an adult.
I am in charge.
I can buy things if I want.
I don't have to eat vegetables.
I don't have to do anything.
I do things because I want too.
Because I want to be better.
And grow.
So this summer I am leaving and going to Chicago.
To intern at Leo Burnett.
Leaving my husband Behind.
To pursue my career.
It is going to be crazy.
It is going to be hard.
It is going to be exciting.
It is going to be worth it.

  2. Wow! My big sis and her husband live in Chicago and they love it! I desperately want to visit. Also, you are so brave for going without your hubby. Not going to lie, I don't think I could do it. Give us more details!

  6. Sweet! Make sure to go to free museum day on Tuesdays--they're such a dream! Also, make sure to go to Clarke's diner (which is uptown), and oh my gosh, don't forget about Steak n Shake (you hhaaaaave to get a shake--it doesn't matter which kind), also, if you want to see a show at the Briar Street Theatre (like the Blue Man Group), if you call, you can usher people to their seats before the show and then can just sit down and watch the entire thing for free! It's super rad and an AWESOME theatre to see ANYTHING in. What a great place for an internship--good luck!

  8. Chicago is such a fun place! Just be glad you're going in the summer, not the freezing, windy winter :)
You're right, it'll be hard to leave your husband and everything else that's familiar but it will definitely be worth it to pursue your dreams! Good luck!

  10. Hey Harley, that's awesome that you're moving to Chicago (hopefully just for a short period so your hubs doesn't get lonely!)...I just looked up Leo Burnett and I work just around the corner. I'm with Becca--if you need anything please reach out! Your guys' blog is adorable, I'm sure we'd get along and it's hard moving to a whole new place on your own. :) I may shoot you an email too! Good luck, I hope you love the city.
