Simple Heart Garland

Monday, January 23, 2012

Supplies:
Sewing machine, paper, scissors.
Tutorial...

1.     Cut some note cards into thirds. (you can do this or use regular paper… just something so the sewing machine can sew onto something in between hearts.)
2.     Cut out a couple of heart shapes. I choose to do three different heart patterns for a more eclectic feel.
3.     Use said hearts shapes to cut out even more hearts from cute paper.
4.     I ended up cutting out 40. (make sure you have enough notecards to sew on in between your hearts… in other words match numbers… kind of.}
5.     Pick Thread! I chose yellow.
6.     Start sewing your garland. Start with a note card and then alternate between notecards and hearts.
7.     When the garland is as long as you want it… stop!
8.     IMPORTANT- Make sure you ties the ends of your thread before you start removing the notecards.
9.     Start taking off the notecards. I just ripped them in half.
10. And Voila! You are done.
