They were right about southern hospitality.

I'm in Georgia to cover an event for The Daily Universe and {as I've never been here before} here are my observations so far:

{1} I'm now a definite minority.
{2} Waffle Houses are necessary solely for the do-it-and-say-we-did experience.
{3} If I could have any accent, it would be southern.
{4} Utah ghettos are different from Georgia ghettos.
{5} I don't mind humidity in May.

  2. I think the southern bible belt is the one area of the country I am dying to go to-- never mind the east coast or even the northwest. And do you not have waffle houses in Utah/Idaho? We have them ALL over in ghetto Mesa/Tempe. The hash browns are your best option.

I really hope you love it. It's an incredible place :)

    p.s. I'm ALWAYS a minority in that place...but it's AWESOME.
