Giveaway: Beautiful Marriage Gold Foil Print

Tuesday, December 10, 2013

Project Beautiful Marriage is a concept started by Tiffany Rebecca, an amazing photographer living in the Denver area (see our first year anniversary shoot by her here!).

Getting married three months before Pinterest really became a "thing" Tiffany spent the months after her wedding pinning and re-planning her perfect dream wedding. She became envious that she hadn't been able to use Pinterest during her own engagement! After more time passed and more of her friends echoed her sentiments about getting married pre-Pinterest, she suddenly realized that she wanted a marriage more beautiful than her wedding.

A simple, but profound statement with so many implications.

Think about how much time, planning, effort, and money goes into planning that singular day. What planning really goes into planning or preparing for how life will be post wedding? Once all the roses, bow ties, and mason jars were gone, what remains? It simply begs the question, how can we take that kind of effort and motivation and translate it into daily life. To make us all want to work harder on creating a beautiful marriage rather than a Pinterest worthy wedding.

I think that it is a really great sentiment. To kick Project Beautiful Marriage off Tiffany Rebecca is offering one of our readers a beautiful Gold Foil Print of the quote she coined. A simple reminder to keep working and planning for a happy marriage, not just a beautiful wedding. Enter via the raffle copter widget below. Good Luck!

Gold Foil print is 8x10 and will ship unframed. US & Canada entries only. Sorry international friends!

  1. I just got married two months ago and I tried really hard to not let our wedding get bigger than our marriage. It is so easy to get caught up and worry about what other people think or want, but in the end they aren't the ones you are marrying.

  2. I still consider myself a newlywed since we're only on our third year of marriage. It's honestly very easy to let the wedding planning and "stuff" get bigger than what anyone intended. This print is gorgeous and would remind us of what's truly important.

  6. What a cool idea! I want to be a part of the beautiful marriage project because I think every marriage can use some work even if it's just preventative. I'm still a very giddy newly-wed but I strive for a strong foundation in our marriage because I know the hard times will come!

  7. I want to be a part of this, so that one day when I am married (hopefully sooner then later!) I can learn to keep my priorities straight!

  8. My fiance and I are getting married next November. We are planning from a distance because he's stationed in Hawaii, I'm living in Chicago, and our wedding will be in NJ. It's tough and can get stressful but it very much helps to keep in mind that our marriage is what's most important.
