This is my lovely sister Caity modeling three different ways to wear a polka dot skirt. I think the first roadblock when styling patterns is the urge to be so matchy matchy. Initially when seeing this skirt I thought, "Try a white button down!" -- I had to hold myself back. I have learned that you just have to treat the pattern like it's neutral. Throw caution to the wind! Look at OUTFIT 2// polka dots and plaid! I am already thinking of the fun spring florals we can put with this skirt in a couple months.
Hope this inspires some of you to mix and match some of your patterned pieces.

Love all these, but the last look is probably my favorite. The color combination is so pretty! Sometimes I'm hesitant to mix patterns because it can feel too busy, but these all look great!
