how we chose our apartment.

I have a secret. When Michael and I got to Chicago we had a bunch of apartment showing appointments set up. That morning I told Michael that he needed to look dapper and I tried to look a little bit more sophisticated than usual. We went to the first showing and I loved it. The tall ceilings. The red kitchen. Michael was less sure. He was worried about picking the first place we saw. Being "those" people in the big city that get wide eyed and make a mistake. We discussed it and then we decided to live in the first place we saw without looking at any other apartments. We felt a little dumb. I mean who does that?! Who rents a place when they haven't seen anything else?!

Apparently we do and we are pretty happy about it. Our neighborhood is a dream and there is always parking. Plus 5 mins away from Target and Costco. Unpacking and putting all of the pieces together has been a challenge thus far, but we are working on it. You can see apartment pictures here. More to come soon.
