Don't be afraid to use two whole pages for a simple spread like this. I like to write a quote on one side and draw a little picture on the other.
I had fun on this page with a pretty picture and experimenting with penmanship. I switched between two fonts which makes it more pleasing to the eye, I think.
Snail mail is one of my favorite things in the world, but I didn't used to know what to do with all the letters. Now, I glue them inside my journal. It makes the journal really fat, but I love that look. These pages were during Christmas when I got a bunch of letters and cards, so I attached them all in right here together using wrapping paper as little hinge-attachment things.
I love quotes. Writing them in offers such a slice of life feeling I think, because I always copy down ones that inspired me that day. It sets the mood.

ReplyDeleteso i was just at target tonight when i walked by the moleskins & thought "i'm getting one." i couldn't do it tonight because i'm completely broke, but come friday, i'm getting one. i've been feeling the creative juices flowing with nowhere to go & this is exactly what i need, so thank you for the inspiration! <3
