Ok. So I think after reading The Fountainhead I have just been in need of some lovely easy peasey fun reads. Enter Along for the Ride by Sara Dessen.
Here is the synopsis:
When Auden impulsively goes to stay with her father, stepmother, and new baby sister the summer before she starts college, all the trauma of her parents' divorce is revived, even as she is making new friends and having new experiences such as learning toride a bike and dating.
If you have read any of the Sara Dessen books before you pretty much know what is going to happen, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable!
Pros:
Love stories about girls finding themselves make me happy
Eli is a dreamy son of a gun
Gives hope to marriages that are struggling
Cons:
Semi predictable
Overall I would have to say that it was exactly what I was a craving. A simple love story that pulled at my heart strings. Did I mention that I read it all in one sitting? Totally did.
★★★1/2☆☆
