Grandpa's Favorite Part of the Meal

My grandparents live close so I try to visit and spend time with them often. Many of my finals prep weeks have been spent on the floor in their living room by the fireplace, where I'd much rather study than in the library. Grandma usually cooks when I'm there, but occasionally Grandpa steps in when she's away or busy. {This man makes the best muenster grilled cheese sandwiches.} Last time it was just the two of us, this is what he made us to eat -- cheese, sliced cucumbers with homemade Italian dressing, fresh fruit and yogurt, and a hearty pile of Cheetos.

"No meal can go wrong if there are Cheetos at the table," he said.

I'm not sure Julia Child would necessarily approve, but it was good enough for me.
