Sister Tingey’s Apple Pie
Crust:
1-½ cups flour
½ tsp. salt
2 Tbls. cold milk
2 Tbls. sugar
½ cup oil
Mix together with fork and hands and press into casserole dish
Filling:
4 cups sliced, peeled apples
½ cup sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 Tbls. flour
Mix together with fork and add to the top of the crust
Topping:
½ cup flour
½ cup sugar
½ cup butter
Mix together with for and hands. Put on top of filling. Bake @ 350 degrees for 1 hour 45 minutes inside of a paper bag.
Um, YUM. I'm super impressed at the homemade crust. Pretty sure I'd be lazy and buy a frozen one. :)
