journal prompt // why is your mom awesome?

harley:

my mother just recently decided to go back to school. she still has three kids at home, works a part time job, and serves anyone that crosses her path. and now on top of all that she has to take a math class. 

does it get any more awesome?

jane:

first of all, my mother is the best cook around--something i took completely for granted until i moved away. she is the definition of calm in a storm (especially on roadtrips when all five of us kids were whining and my dad was stressed about directions with an atlas unfolded on his lap, my mom was the one to make the phone calls, figure out routes and order food. calm in the storm.). 

she just became a nurse and she is the most loyal friend. 

she is my dad's queen and the queen of our hobby farm. she can lug hay bales and dig holes, and at the end of the day, she's the one teaching us girls how to point our toes while we dance, how to brown butter and how to deal with what life throws our way.
